Realistic flight plan IFR from EGPH to BIRK?

Featured Replies

I am trying to find a realistic flightplan for IFR from Edinburgh to Reykjavik. The FSX planner seems kind of crazy in what it suggests, I really doubt that what it generates is realistic. It would have me zigzagging all over Orkney and Shetland, going FAR out of my way to use waypoints in those places. I looked on Flightaware, and have seen such a flight, but the info provided does not include any routing info. Any idea how they do this in real life? I'm talking about typical jetliner/freighter flights.Thanks.

Thanks BobP! May I ask where you found this? I figured the Faroes might be part of a real flight plan.

The flightplan was generated by Flight Sim Commander. In fact I'm flying it right now with the PMDG MD11. Bob.. :)

Nice! I'm going to do it later with the Captain Sim 727-200 in BA "Landor" livery with winglets. What a bird! Then I might do it with my BAe 146-300QT!
