Hi Avsim forum staff,I´ve actually problems with my sig. After I had to change something in the signature, the proramm toled me, that the picture was too big, which was indeed a little bit too bing, but it worked the time before without any problems. Than I resized it, uploaded it to photocucket and copied the IMG link as I did before. Now the programm keeps telling me that the pictue is too big, allothough is has been resized to 264x68.Did I do somethging wrong or is there an system issue? Any help is appreciated.

Just took a look actually both links you sent me are exactly the same size, 400x103

Really? The lower one shows me a resoultion of 264x68. Really strange.

If the banner that doesn't work is the REX banner then yes that's too big as well. The software only recently started enforcing those rules so it only takes affect when you go to change your signature.

Hi Brian,Thanks for your reply. I was having an issue with the British Airways banner which as you can see is now visible. I was providing examples of other banners that are way over the limit in terms of size and in another case I provided a link to where a fellow has 4 banners which does not conform to the sig banner rules either.There are individuals and commercial members like PMDG who do conform to the rules yet there are numerous examples of individuals who do not. Why does the forum software not pick those up? The limit on banner size must have been imposed due to cost's associated with hosting AVSIM so why wouldn't AVSIM be concerned with the banners that are way over the size limit? Perhaps it is not my business but if these rules are there I think they should be enforced and any banner that exceeds the size limit should be removed.Thanks,Robert

Robert,The software only checks sizes when you go to change your signature, it doesn't go through every person's signature and look for violations. I can only speak as to how and why the system operates the way it does as far as enforcement or why the rules are written the way they are I'm not the one to answer those questions.

Thanks Brian, I figured that you would not be the one to enforce the rules, perhaps you could forward this to Tom as I believe that in the end he decides on the finances and administration of the forums overall.You all do a great job and the sim community wouldn't be what it is without AVSIM, keep up the great work.Robert
