January 16, 201115 yr HiI don't know if this a problem/bug with FSX but I am getting the following problem and wondered if anyone had a solution....I like to use the Locked Spot view sometimes, however sometimes the view takes me extremely close up to the aircraft. I then zoom out a bit and it looks like I'm then looking through a Fish Eye and it gives an awful unusable view. I can only sort it out by ending the flight and starting over, which obviously isn't practicable. It seems like it occurs when I am in the middle of a flight and have to reset the flight for what ever reason. I think anyway, otherwise the problem is just random.Sorry for the poor explaination. I've attached 2 images showing first, the correct view of what Locked Spot should show, and second, what the problems looks likeI'm running FSX with acc and on Windows 7.
January 16, 201115 yr Ctrl + "+" will move your view point out Ctrl + "-" will move your view point in.
January 16, 201115 yr Also, you can RESET any view with (default settings) CTRL+Spacebar and reset Zoom level to default with the BACKSPACE key. The reset values for zoom levels come from the camera definitions and can be manually edited there. Lots more info about cameras and views in the Learning Center.Zoom controls magnification of view/field of view. Chase Distance controls distance from aircraft. They aren't the same thing but are easily confused initially.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro

The default command I believe is CTRl+Space. Although when it happens to me, I assigned the "End" key to make it easier to remember. Just go into FSX settings menu and under views, look for Eyepoint reset and assign whatever key you want or just use the default command.Post Edit: Loyd beat me to it Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Will have to try the CTRL + SPACE suggestion and see if that works for me. However, I've found that the views work well on the first flight. But the next flight will have the Locked Spot view as you have shown in your pic. The three ways that I have overcome this is by not leaving the first flight (ie. after landing and parking, then setting up a flight plan from the drop down menu for the next flight from that parking spot), exiting FSX completely and starting a new flight (which you have had to do), or using the Spot view only (as this one doesn't seem to get affected).Chris David
