FSX loads flights with black screen!

Featured Replies

I seem to have an unusual problem. Everything seems normal when I start FSX and the load window opens to show my selected flight being loaded. However as soon as the flight reaches 100% loaded, my screen goes black!! Another thing that is strange is that the load window appeared on the right side of my screen. This has never happened before. I can open and see the task manager and it shows that FSX is running. I can also hit Ctrl-C to exit FSX normally. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks for any help!Airbus

I do sometimes, I have to go into general opions and click show the opening screen. It loads, but only into the taskbar. Just click on it in the taskbar and "alt-enter" to bring it up.

Thanks for your help. I think I found the problem. Looks like FSX decided to change my display resolution from 1920 X 1200 X 32 to 1920 X 1080 X 32! Not sure how that happened, but when I corrected it from 1080 to 1200 in FSX.cfg everything was OK. Go figure!Airbus
