January 31, 201115 yr Dear Sirs, I run RCv4 (just installed) with FSX, and all seems to be fine, until I try to make my first contact to RCv4 (eg: get weather, or call tower etc). Rcv4 does not react to my numeric keys at all!Any idea what can be the reason? best regardsGabor P

January 31, 201115 yr Moderator Thank you Ray...but it did not help !Any other possible solution??br Gabor PHi Gabor,Open your Keyboard Definitions window by clicking Keyboard in Options. What do you have set for 1, 2, 3 etc? If you press those keys whilst FS has the focus and with RC running then RC should react accordingly. Make sure FS has the focus.Correcting what I said earlier the defaults are 1, 2 and 3 etc. and not CTRL+Shift+number. You might want to use a 3-key combo to prevent a possible clash with FS defaults. January 31, 201115 yr Thank you Ray...but it did not help !Any other possible solution??br Gabor PHi Gabor,Do you have FSUIPC installed and is it active in your FSX or FS9. Just as a clue when you start up your flight and start RC, does your aircraft move? If it does then FSUIPC has no link with RC and the key strokes will not activate. Please post your findings and some information about your system and what FS and aircraft you are using.ThanksBob Johnson

Windows7 Enterprise 64 bit, FSUICP (non registered) is up and running as far as I understand....Thanks for you kind help !br Gabor P
January 31, 201115 yr While Bob covered they keyboard issues well here you also might wish to check my reply in your other thread started.Make sure you start RC with a shortcut with a property set to run as admin to insure access to all of the FS areas it needs including your path where your flight plans are stored. Using the links I posted in your other thread be sure FSUIPC4 is updated as that might fix some access issues as well particularly for Win 7.If you are using ASE be sure you are running it with the latest service pack installed. This corrects some performance issues and FSUIPC access time outs.I assume RC and FS are both on the same pc if you are running a network. Finally, in the thread pinned to the forum top, read the issues regarding certain anti-virus/malware applications.Let us know if any of this helps.

Windows7 Enterprise 64 bit, FSUICP (non registered) is up and running as far as I understand....Thanks for you kind help !br Gabor PGabor, Ron has some very good points and please look into them. Here has been my experience, I have a registered copy of FSUIPC, I can go into FSUIPC and see through the calibration option if FSUIPC is responding to my CHProducts yoke and pedals. In addition all of my axis are controlled by FSUIPC and I have a dedicated profile for my LDS 787. When you start RC inside of FSX your plane should NOT move. Here is how I run my system. I use Game Booster (should not affect this issue), start ASE and then start FSX, which loads my LDS 767 from the previous location I landed and parked at. After FSX laods in full screen mode, I minimize the screen and select RC (whose properties I have set to run as administrator as Ron said) when RC becomes active my plane does NOT move or reposition it self. I found out that through trial and error, that FSUIPC was not communicating with FSX. Once I set up my profiles "correctly" FSUIPC was always in sync with FSX and RC loaded correctly. Since you do not have a registered copy of FSUIPC you cannot do the above. I HIGHLY recommned that spend the few dollars and upgrade to a registered version for MANY reasons, well worth the cost IMHO.As Ron said, check his suggestions and mine and please post your results back here. Most of the RC team checks this forum out everyday. All the BestBob
