AFCAD Problem

Featured Replies

I think I have an afcad problem, I installed fsdt KLAS then installed Mytraffic X , they both installed afcads so I had 2 running. So I got rid of the mytraffic X one . I don't know if it was before or not but now if I start the sim my plane lines up with the runway to the left. What is the correct way to install these add ons in order or something? Thanks for any help.

I do not know about MyTraffic X, but in earlier versions of MyTraffic the instructions clearly stated that you should place the scenery entry which houses all of their "afcads" very low in the scenery library lists - perhaps just above Propeller Objects - so that any later additions such as KLAS which has it's own "afcad" will be loaded later and the MYTraffic "afcad" will not be used.If you have something like that already, and your aircraft does not line up with the runway(s) properly, that is likely due to a slightly misplaced start location in the KLAS "afcad" itself. That can easily be changed with an "afcad" editor - but it would be wise to use the same editor which was used to create the "afcad" initially.Rather than do it yourself, it might be best to contact the FSDT folks can get their advice. Possibly this has already been discussed in their forum. http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/Hope those thoughts are useful.

I don't have it installed, but from what I've seen fsdt airports have the runway start positions (that places the user aircraft in the create a flight menu when selecting active or specific runway) set so that you are on the taxiway at about the hold-short position for the runway. If you have the sdk/ADEX installed you can open the AFD file and see where the start positions are located (and move them if desired I guess).scott s..
