February 3, 201115 yr IS there a fix for the ILS 120 at CYZP, Sindspit. Thanks.Assuming you mean Sandspit, BC - what exactly is wrong with the ILS ??
February 4, 201115 yr I looked at the Canada charts for CYZP. (CAP 2 page 157 edition of Feb 2010) and it shows the runway mag heading of 122 degrees with a listed approach course of 119 degrees, so without more data I can't really say it is wrong in FSX.scott s..

February 4, 201115 yr Agree that the true runway heading in FSX is 144.95, but we don't know if that is correct. Eyeballing it in GE it looks about 144.3 to me, but I can't make out the ILS localizer antenna array.scott s..
February 4, 201115 yr Commercial Member Magnetic variation causing your issues? FSX default scenery could be way off these days. Regards; Steve. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 5, 201115 yr It's clear when looking at the airport/runway in ADEX that the localizer is not aligned to runway centerline (RWY true heading is 144.95 and localizer true heading is 141.0). The problem is when you look at the charts, it suggests that is correct, but it's hard to prove. The charts do show a mag var of 22E, and the stock airport shows 23E but even correcting for that it still isn't clear that the localizer should be aligned off the centerline.scott s..

I think that is actually true for some airports. Will look at CYZP when I get a chance, see what's going on.Later... Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 6, 201115 yr Commercial Member CYZP ILS brings you in on the right of runway 12. So not sure if that's correct. Airport info on the web only says VOR/DME approaches.Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 6, 201115 yr SkyKing never has come back to tell us exactly what he thinks is wrong at Sandspit. :(
