February 4, 201115 yr While flying a flight plan the other night, RC was performing fine, however 10 to 15 mins out from completeing the flight RC chatter just stopped and I had a run time error. Is there any way to restart RC and pick up the coverage while in flight? Restarting RC only brought it back to the very begining of the flight plan and the controllers acted as if I were at the airport starting from the gate while I was actually at 25K ft somewhere over NY. It would really be great if you could pick up the control of the aircraft while in flight, as it was I ended my flight where it was at.Jim K, Greenville NC
February 4, 201115 yr For FS SDK compliant aircraft you can implement the freeware autosave.dll which you can set for the number of saved flights and the number of files to stack. You can then restart from the latest saved image.Look at the FS9 section on:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html"AutoSave 1.501 with FS98/FS2000/FS2002/FS2004 support. It will save flights ("STN" files) at regular intervals, so you can retry that crashed landing or quickly recover from other problems. December 24th 2004 (7 KB) (released Jan 2nd 2006)Note: For FSX this facility is part of FSUIPC4 and needs user registration."Alternately you can hit the key assigned in RC to save the flight in a single file whenever you wish.Aircraft must fully conform to the FS SDK as used in default FS Aircraft, not special proprietary interfaces such as used on PMDG and LDS products which in part deviate from the standards to allow more complex procedures.

February 4, 201115 yr Author I am using FSX and do have a registered copy of FSUIPC latest version. My question is, I was using the Flight 1 ATR 72-500 for my aircraft. Does this aircraft fall under SDK compliant? Being new to FSUIPC, where do I setup for autosave of my flights as I can not obviously use the Autosave.dll for FS9.
February 4, 201115 yr Author Did a little reading in the FSUIPC pdf file and found the Autosave function. So I am to understand FSUIPC with autosave enabled will back up the last 10 mins if I leave it set at default 60 sec autosave. And along with FS information RC controllers will pick up my flight from the point of the last autosave?
