I am running FSX with acceleration and Windows 7 x64. I uses WOAI and MAIW traffic in the FS9 format. I would like to add ship, carrier traffic as well. Do I need to use FS9 format? Is there any easy way to convert traffic from FS9 to FSX and vice-versa.Any help would be appreciate.Bill

To get boat traffic ALL traffic files must be in the FSX format. Luckily there is a tool to handle the bulk conversion, such as WOAI. Did not know that this can also create boat traffic. never seen that in AIFP. maybe missed the functionality all this time. I used the special boat compiler successfully as the boat and planes traffic files "insides" are not the same and work on two total different principles.you can get it herehttp://lc0277.gratisim.fr/boat/

I believe you have mis-understood........AIFP is not used to create FSX boat traffic - the conversion utility on the file menu of AIFP is used to convert FS2004 format Traffic files to FSX format Traffic files which will then stop the blocking of the FSX traffic files.FSX can use either format but not at the same time. The presence of even one FS2004 format Traffic file will block the display of FSX Aircraft Traffic and some of the ship (boat) traffic also. So to see all of the FSX traffic, the conversion of any FS2004 format Traffic files needs to be done.Hope that makes sense.
