  1. Try flightdeck sound effects panel. Fdsfxpnl.zip. Works great
  2. Nice pictures. What repaint did you use for the 737?
  3. Very nice. Question, is there a checklist specially for multiple short flights so aircraft turned around quickly for the following flight, taxi in, deplane, board, taxi out. Thanks
  4. I use the free FDSFX panel available here on AVSIM. I then go to youtube and find the sounds I want and download, edit and add to the panel. I now have about 4,000 little sound files for about 70 different airlines. Bill
  5. I decided last night to completely rebuild system, as I think the underlying issue maybe corrupt Windows files. I will start this in the few days. Thanks for your all your suggestions.
  6. Ken: Thanks for the suggestions. I will start that process tonight when I get home from work.
  7. I have been having some strange issues, and short of wiping out my system and rebuilding, I am not sure where to look. Basically, the Add-on drop down items are not consistenting working. Example FSUIPC shows in the drop down, but selecting it does not bring up the FSUIPC screen. I have aicarriers in the EXE.XML, but it does not start with FSX and does not show in the drop down. When I start FSX, FSX.EXE and COUATL.EXE are in the task manager. If I shutdown FSX, they are removed from the task manager. If I start FSX, select FSUIPC, which does not do anything, when I exit FSX, FSX.EXE and COUATL.EXE remain in the task manager. I have restore my system back to June, I have removed and added programs, I have reinstalled my video drivers, I have started with new FSX.CFG, etc. and nothing seems to work consistently. Late last night, I got most working, I then relicensed ASN, installed KIAD 1.2 upgrade, reran Stand Alone manager, and now things are not working. The system seems to have a mind of it's own. I hope someone can point me in the right direction to try and trouble shoot these issues. I have been working on this for 3 days now. Thanks Bill
  8. Jim Renaming Logbook did not solve the problem. I tried searching for the repair utility, but I came up empty. Can you point in the right direction to fine it. Thanks
  9. Jim UAC was already off.
  10. I used to be able to run missions, CV69-12, T-45C Goshawk Carrier, CarrierOpsfsxf18. Now when I run the missions, it loads, my screen goes black, and I get CTD simscheduler.dll. I can run aicarriers and land on the USS Nimetz, etc. Also, missions that use the default FSX carrier work fine. Anybody have any ideas. I can not think of what could have changed to start causing this. Any help would be appreciated. Bill
  11. I had this same problem last year. The problem related to me updating my video drivers. I reverted back to the prior version and the display problem went away. Have you updated your driver recently?
  12. I reverted back to 260.99 from 306.97 Everything back to normal.
  13. Has any one encountered this problem. Everything has been fine for a year. I just updated the Nvidia drivers to the latest version, and downloaded the PMDG Aeromexico livery.
  14. In the attached photo, the white below the aircraft, is water spray. I just taxi'd in, engines off, but I see what looks like blowing water spray. Any ideas wht causes this when no moving, and how to remove. Thanks Bill
  15. I thought I had it, but it seems that my decals are too big. Any help would be appreciated. Attached are two files,1 standard and 1 with new decal. Thanks Bill
  16. Can any of you great painters out there do equipment decals for US Navy, US Air Force, and maybe a generic like Omega Aviation. They would go great with all the military paints that have been done lately. Thanks Bill
  17. I enter 41 12 36.61 (N) 123 6 37.76 (w) Result is 41.210169 123.110489 So the question is, Is W and S always negative? Sorry, I did not see your map. That helps. Thanks Bill
  18. How do I know when to add the negative sign, as the site only returns positive numbers. Thanks Bill
  19. Thanks. I'll give it a try. Bill
  20. Can anyone point in the right direction, I want to convert N39° 50' 20.84",W124° 30' 48.78" to its decimal value to enter into FS Commander and Plan-G software. Thanks Bill
  21. Is there a way to change the gate location for this tutorial? I have changed the aircraft, but I am not sure where to go to change the gate. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Bill
  22. See my post on FSDT JFK ILS 4R. Some one else had problems in NY and by editing the AFCAD and unselecting Back Course the ILS works perfect. Bill
  23. I found a response in another forum on this exact problem (see below). I am going to turn off backcourse tonight and give it a try. Bill Your problem is the way Microsoft setup the default ILS in FS2004 and FSX. Rwy 4R and 22R share a frequency (109.50), Rwy 4L and 22L share a frequency (110.90) and Rwy 13L and 31R share a frequency (111.50) at KJFK. And every one of those ILS is set to enable the backcourse. Which means that if you are not exactly on ILS course, your aircraft will 'capture' the backcourse from the wrong runway. Of course there are not actual transmissions in FS - just a simlation of the effects of radio transmissions. This in not a problem in the real world because none of those ILS transmits a back course, and the ILS for the runways not in use will be turned off to not transmit. But because Microsoft chose to Enable Back Course for every localizer in the entire world - several airports have this issue. There are two options which should relieve your problems, but both require the airport to be edited. 1) Edit the airport to uncheck the default setting of Enable Backcourse on those six ILS at KFJK, or, 2) Change the frequencies of one of each pair of shared frequencies. Nr 1 works most of the time for most folks. Nr 2 has the disadvantage of making it harder for you to find the new frequencies if you forget. Something else is that you need to be able to recognize the identifier of the localizer your aircraft 'locks' onto. Some FS aircraft have a HSI gauge which will display that identifier, some will require you to listen to the morse code to recognize the ident. Of course, you have to do your homework and know which is the correct ident, and what are the other idents for the airport should you 'lock' onto a wrong one.
  24. Ryan, removed FSDT JFK and used the stock airport. ILS 4R still goes to B/CRS 222 and shows IJOC/45 which is 22L and not IJFK/45 Could this be a Navigraph issue? Bill
  25. I have just completed all tes5/ ILS 4L. No vornav selection. APP ok ILS 13L good ILS 31R. No vorloc selection. APP goes to Bcs 222 landing ok ILS 22R/L. Ok ILS 31L Ok ILS 4R.
