February 18, 201115 yr Hi,I am wondering if WinXP saves the joystick calibration data in some file which I could make a backup of or even modify manually. The reason is I built a throttle quadrant from an old joystick and I want to adjust only one axis. Going through the standard calibration always messes up my other axes.Any help is much appreciated.T. Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant

That way you will be able to have the profile for an aircraft automatically loaded when you select that particular aircraft.Doing it through the standard FSX dialog will be a total pain.

I don't have the money at the moment to buy a licence. By the way, I'm using FS9 but I'm really looking for the config or ini or whatever file related to the calibration. February 19, 201115 yr HelloYou will have to choose between the standard windows calibration or doing everything in the Saitek software. If you cannot afford Fsuipc at this point then you can try using multiple FS9.cfg'sSee this post for ideashttp://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?201438-Save-multiple-keyboard-joystick-assignmentsHere are some details from an old post I found by Bill Leaming (n4gix) by using Google. As posted by Bill Leaming on 12/30/04"Why not simply go for a simpler solution.1) Highlight "fs9.exe," rightclick Copy, rightclick Paste.2) Highlight "Copy of fs9.exe" and rename to helo_fs9.exe.3) Copy "fs9.cfg," rightclick copy, rightclick Paste.4) Highlight "Copy of fs9.cfg" and rename to helo_fs9.cfg.5) Right click on desktop shortcut for FS9, Paste a copy to Desktop.6) Right click on new shortcut, select properties, change startupname to helo_fs9.exe, and Desktop Name to Helo_FS9.7) Doubleclick on "Helo_FS9.exe" and configure joystick as desired.8) Exit FS9.Now when you want to fly a helo, load from the Helo_FS9 shortcut.
February 19, 201115 yr Author Actually there is no need for multiple cfg's and exe's, you can use a simple autohotkey script with the command "write to ini" before starting FS.BUT: thanks to your post I looked at the correct file - the FS9.cfg (obvious?) - where I found the entries of the joystick calibration! I will work on that and see where I get. Thanks a lot! Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant
