Keyboard issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,My keyboard was working just fine on FS9 until later yesterday. For some reason, I can cycle views using 'S', but pressing 'Shift + S' to cycle backwards doesn't work. In fact, all controls on the keyboard seem to have been disengaged (can't change views, can't pushback, etc) except for the "Alt" and 'S'. Alt will open the tabs on the top of the screen, but that's it. "Ctrl + C" to exit the sim doesn't work. I haven't done anything to my sim in the last 24 hours, so I'm wondering if something else is at play here.. Keep in mind that I'm using this keyboard to type, so I can't imagine that something is wrong with the keyboard itself. Any help is appreciated!George

OK, never mind everyone! The problem has been solved; turns out that all of my control settings had been erased. Very strange since I never mess with them, but I simply reset the defaults and changed some things around to my liking. Thanks again!George

This happens to me on a regular basis.I believe it comes under the category of mysterious things that FS does randomly for no obvious reason. As you discovered the remedy is quick and straightforward though.wacko.gifAndy

I always have a backup copy of FS9 CFG file for just such occasions. No hair pulling or head pounding. Just a quick copy and paste of the appropriate section.Cheers,Mel
