FSX B737 Fuel Management

Featured Replies

im quite confused with the standard fsx b737-800 fuel system.i started a flight with about 8000gal in the center fuel tank and 900gal (each) left and right tankfuelpumps are both on and idle and i have tried with x-feed open aswell as closedbut the 737 seems to only take fuel from 1 tank... it doesnt touch the other nor the center tank(both engines are running yes)so with the 900gal at takeoff, it only lasts me to about 3000ft and the engines turn off =(has someone got a clue why? and/or how i can actually use the other two tanks toothank you!

I don't seem to have any issue with the fuel on the B738. At mine it does use the center tank. Do you use any third party software/liveries/aircraft.cfg edits?

The stock 737 VC isn't that bad looking, but very functional.I' started a flight from KORD parked at a gate and I taxied to the runway. I've been flying for about 30 min on the fuel load you described. :( can't say i have any idea what is happening with your 737. All can ask is if it happens in other planes. But I still have not advice to fix it. sorry

Maybe launching FSS with the default C172 to set up the FSX xysrems, then switching to the B737, might work.Bruce.

So how are you getting 8000 gals in the center tank when the B737 can only hold 4300 gallons max in the center tank?Best regards,Jim

Do you have any parts of the aircraft.cfg that you have edited so far?Alternatively, another cause may be attributed to corrupted installation during the installation process.Try checking your aircraft.cfg file first before considering the reinstall option.Dave.

Try loading the default C172.. then completely cycle the fuel selector.. and then leave it on 'All' (it might say 'Both').. Save as default flight.. then load the 737.
