February 24, 201115 yr Hi all, I am going to upgrade my pc this year and would like suggestions and maybe improvements on what I am thinking of doing.My current PC is: M/B: Asus Rampage Extreme X48 CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q9650 (Running at 3.60GHz) RAM: 8GB OCZ ReaperX DDR3 (Running at 1600MHz) GPU: 2x HIS 4870x2 (Running on Xfire setup)My new PC Plans are: M/B: Asus Maximus IV Extreme or Gigabyte P67A-UD7 P67 Motherboard CPU: Intel i7 2600K RAM: Keep OCZ ReaperX GPU: Nvidia GTX 580I will be running this machine with FSX and all the ORBX add-ons with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. If anybody has any suggestions on how to improve the system, please let me know.Peter

February 25, 201115 yr Be aware that the Maximus Extreme needs a huge case to fit it into, there are some out there, but not too many. Look for E-ATX cases. Sander Rutte
February 26, 201115 yr I thought the same re ud7, but top boards seem to get better more frequent bios updates (useful with this new tech and oc'ing) plus it has three levels of llc, which helps greatly ocing! Simon
