Taking a break from FSX

Recommended Posts

No not in that sense, does anyone know if it is possible to "tone down" the brakes in FSX? I'm using a Saitek X52 and use the trigger switch for the brakes , I know that this trigger has two phases but is it possible to configure it so I don't stand the aircraft on its nose under braking?Or is there a value in the aircraft cfg that can be adjusted?Cheers in advance,Mike

yes, go into the aircraft.cfg of choicepropbaly wouldn't hurt to back it up firstthen search for "brake"look for a section:[brakes] (something like that)then I forget, look for something like toe brakes = x where x is an integerit might be 1 or 1.0 or 0.7 well just make it smaller to take away brake or make larger to increase brakingI made mine larger, since I fly bush, now I can stop on a dime.

Ciao!

If you have the registered version of FSUIPC I suppose you could assign the analogue toe brakes to the thumb slider on the X52 throttle, you would need to assign both left and right toe brakes to the one slider, FSUIPC does allow you to assign more that one assignment to a single joystick axis. You would need to make sure they are both calibrated exactly the same so that braking is equal on both wheels, otherwise it could pull to one side.

Cheers, Andy.
