Custom Liveries

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone here knows of a company that can make custom liveries? I have seen an advertisement before and thought it was McPhat but now I can't find that website/producer. Any ideas?

Ever tried Google. It is wonderful. Just type in what you're interested in ("mcphat") and it shows a list of links:http://www.mcphatstudios.net/

Do you mean people that will repaint aircraft just for you? I don't think McPhat does that. There are a few services out there and I think a couple of them are listed at Simmarket. I don't know how good the painters are or how good their customers service is. As a result, I have never used any of those services. If anyone knows of a good painter that will do liveries for a small charge, I would be interested. I really want a Spirit A321 for the Airbus X but no one over there will paint it - I think they are going to paint every Lufthansa reg# before they'll get to Spirit. Frankly, I shouldn't even have to ask, it should have been included with the original purchase - only two airlines operate the A321 in the US.

That wasn't my question.@duckbilled: No I don't believe McPhat does either although I have already asked them. CLS seems to offer the service; however, I am still looking for a list of known people who do the work. As for quality I would hope any suggestions come with a comment on quality. If I find someone who will do it for a reasonable charge I will be sure to pass their name on to you.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your question. On reading the above quote though it seems that you were having trouble finding McPhat.I believe BananaBob once had a website and did custom repaints although I don't think he does it anymore. Try Googling Bananabob and FSX and see what you find.

Excellent, thank you anthony31fs, I'll search him right after this post. I have contacted a few but no replies yet. Still these things take time so I'll wait and see.Edit: Sadly it appears Banana Bob is a no go. From what I could glean he was receiving a number of complaints for dissatisfied customers and possibly a liability suite for infringement of intellectual property. How true these allegations may be doesn't matter as he has, for all intents and purposes, disappeared.

Bad luck about Bananabob. You could try posting a request in the repaint section of these forums http://forum.avsim.net/forum/200-the-paint-shop-the-aircraft-painters-forum/Perhaps if your were to offer to buy the repainter their own copy of the aircraft in question then that may be payment enough for some :)Good luck

Out of curiosity. What kind of custom livery are you looking for and on what aircraft?
