Dep Briefing Anti-Icing Gets 2 Responses

Perhaps I missed this item in the Forum (I searched for it), but during the Departure Briefing I have indicated in the Anti-Icing space the "NOT REQ" choice, but the Captain always gives the "Not Required" AND the "Both EAI and WAI" required statements. Has a fix for this problem been released? Thanks...Lee

The double response occurs with all 3 voices. I'm surprised no one else has reported this. Thanks Bryan, for the rapid reply...Lee

Hi,To confirm, are you referring to what's played back in the Departure Brief itself?I just played the Departure Brief and it sounded right to me.Are you referring to what's said during a checklist?Cheers,

No, I get the 2 responses when I play the Departure Brief. It occurs with all 3 voices. Do you have a suggestion how I can correct this? Thanks...Lee

Hi Lee,I'm not sure how this could happen. After you press 'Play Brief', are you changing options or anything? Can you make a video so I can see it?Cheers,

I'm not able to make a video, but I can tell you just what I'm experiencing. In the Departure Brief screen I have the following entries: NADP--2, DEP PROC--VECTORS, FLAPS--5, A-ICE--NOT REQ, BLEEDS--ON. When the Captain reads his brief he reads the first three items normally, but with A-ICE he says "As for anti-ice, it's not required"; and then immediately says, "As for anti-ice, both engine and wing anti-ice will be required."If "EAI" is placed in the A-ICE space, the Captain says, "Engine anti-ice is required," and then says, "As for anti-ice, both engine and wing anti-ice are required." With either of those choices, he says the expected statement, then adds the "both are required" statement. However, if "EAI AND WAI" are entered in the A-ICE box, the Captain only reads the "both are required" statement. The Captain gives the expected statement for all the remaining items in the Departure Brief. All the Approach Brief statements seem to be as expected. Finally, no, I'm not changing any options while the Captain's briefing is being read; and, the double responses occur with all 3 voices. That's the problem, Bryan. Is it possible to just make an adjustment/re-installation of the Brief duologue file and not have to remove and re-install the entire FS2Crew program? And, thanks again, for your effort to get this right...Lee

You are right. I didn't mention I was using a headset. Glad you were able to find and fix the problem. Many thanks, Bryan. Excellent support. Looking forward to 1.2...Lee
