November 15, 200322 yr hi ., just purchased Saitek joystick today and only feel a little FF tension when flying, yet before i turn on my computer it feels like a good sturdy joystick... it seems to lose tension and return to a floppy default all the time.Surely at the price (approx $120.00) this is a good piece of hardware and something else is causing the problem... any help greatly welcomed!dsflyer uk
November 15, 200322 yr First off I am surprised at the price. i have just had alook at the Saitek UK web site and they list the Cyborg 3d Force at a penny under
November 15, 200322 yr Vulcan., i'll double check the price, maybe ive been shortchanged!i'll check FF on the forum as you suggest, i previously just checked under joysticks etcthanks flyer uk
November 15, 200322 yr I have the same joystick and I get full force feedback.Remember you need to install the drivers BEFORE you connect the joystick to your pc.
November 16, 200322 yr i connected the joystick to the usb connection after installing the drivers... it is for sure a good joystick but i had exactly the same problem with my last joystick (MS sidewinder FF2)... i run with WIN98 so that is ok., i think maybe i will try to see how they work with fs2002 and go from there!thanks dsflyer
November 16, 200322 yr In general, there is very little force feedback in FS2004, no matter what type of joystick you're using. I'm about 3-4 weeks away from releasing FS Force, an addon module that will provide much improved force feedback effects. You can check out the web site at [a href=http://www.fs-force.com]www.fs-force.com[/a]Russ
November 16, 200322 yr Russ., i checked out the website and looks like a neat product, and i agree with your analysis of saitek and sidewinder (having tried both myself).I think the basic FF effects in FS9 are quite good, my setup just doesnt allow me to access them... more profiles to microsoft this week no doubtcheers flyer UK
