Paul, very interesting but I can't but help wonder how the perfomance impact would be on a flightsim application. Only time will tell.

Paul, very interesting but I can't but help wonder how the perfomance impact would be on a flightsim application. Only time will tell.
With accurate tracking performance could increase.Human eyes only have high resolution in the centre of our field of view (5/10 degrees?) and yet our games are expected to calculate pixel perfection across 3 monitors. Towards our peripheral vision maybe calculating blocks of 5 pixels or more would result in no visual image loss. Thus, with accurate eye tracking, a computer may be able to calculate left and right stereoscopic images that we would perceive as higher quality than today's monitors. One thing I realise with this thinking. Today’s benchmarks are always quoted at a certain FPS at x by y resolution. In tomorrows world we might be measuring benchmarks based on how many people were watching it at the time.
