At the shop the other day they showed me on the side of my GTX 280 card (ya i know it's outdated a bit but i got it for xmas when it came out and it's doing the job) but there's a place i can plug in a x fire board in there to run more monitors, so can i do that safely? i have 1,0000 watts for power and a i7 965 board @ 3.2 GHX

The Nvidia card term for this is "SLI", Crossfire is ATI/AMD's thing. It doesn't have much of a benefit in FSX because FSX is a CPU limited application (meaning it relies more on the CPU for FPS performance, not the GPU) Multi-GPU tech like SLI or Crossfire is really meant for games that hammer the GPU like Crysis, Metro 2033 etc - you can see huge gains on those games, but unfortunately not so much for FS.

Well i guess that answers that and won't be doing it . Thanks Ryan - was talking to you at the last sim conference and i''ll catch you at the next one if there is any. I was asking you if it was hard to program "cost index" in the big iron FMC and you said no it wasn't bad at all.
