March 9, 201115 yr Hi,First things first; thanks for a superb add-on, really explodes the immersion level for my PMDG 747.Stumbled to a weird situation. Everything went smoothly all the way until the descent phase, when somewhere during cruise phase my FO suddenly became mute, and didn't recover during the rest of the flight. Direct commands seemed to go through like flaps etc, but no voice coming out from him anymore.Okay, story continues; after landing when exiting the flight to FSX main menu, suddenly the FO springs to life and all the comments that were supposed to happen during the flight, came out as a burst one after another. So seemed that at some point during the flight something blocked the comms from his direction, and the buffer emptied itself when exiting the flight.Anybody experienced anything similar? Could missing some vital step in the command flow cause such behaviour?Cheers,Mika
March 10, 201115 yr Commercial Member Hi Mika,Glad you like it :( What you experienced is probably a one-off thing as I have never heard about that one before.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 10, 201115 yr Author Thanks for your quick reply, Bryan. Thought so also since I didn't find similar experiences elsewhere in the forum. But since I'm running Vista, you never know... Next long haul will be from London to Hong Kong, so the FO has a splendid opportunity there to clean his act.Anyway, great product & great support! Mika
March 23, 201115 yr I'm getting it as well with FS9 and Windows XP SP3. It seems to occur when you're flying online (like with VATSIM) and your computer decides to start loading a new multiplayer aircraft at the same time you're running a checklist. Is there any way to get the sound system to reset because it's happened 3 or 4 times to me now, but until today I was convinced it was a problem unrelated to FS2Crew because of other problems with FS9. However today I have a brand new install of FS9 and only the plane and scenery I'm using installed, so it can't be that. Chris Trott

The system is still working because just reading the responses to the questions and giving commands does result in proper response from the program, I just don't hear the CoPilot reading the challenge items or responding to my commands. Do you have HS selected on the main FS2Crew panel? Try unselecting it if so... sound should then come out of your main speakers.Best, B. The problem exists on both Speakers and Headset. I've tried switching between them. I also noticed several times that I have HS selected (with my headset on) and I hear the CoPilot talking on the speakers instead of the headset. Chris Trott

March 31, 201115 yr Did you select your Headset audio device in the FS2Crew Config Panel?Cheers,Yep. Showing through the USB Headset, but I've also tested it set to the XFi (speaker output) and gotten the same result. Chris Trott

If there's an error loading the audio engine, you'll get a pop-up message box (that's only visible when using Windowed Mode). Can you also try swapping your sound card with a different card... that way we can in fact confirm that the XFi is indeed the issue.Best, B.
