March 10, 201115 yr Hi,I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, if not please move it to the proper one.A while ago I reinstalled FS2004 incl. nHancer (V 2.59) on Windows XP x86 SP3 with Nvidia 182.50 drivers(I know the drivers are old, but for FS2004 and WinXp they are the best)Every time when I start OS and nHancer I get the following screen:It doesn't matter if I click OK or Cancel, each time the default nVidia profile for FS2004 is resetted.Next I have to remove the FS9.EXE from the default profile:and then I have to check the 'profile can be activated manually' setting for my custom FS2004 profileI have to do this each time I start OS.Isn't there a way I only have to do this once and prevent the default profile to be loaded each time? March 13, 201115 yr Author I've always just modified the default with the new settings.Hi,Thanks for your help. I didn't knew this was possible. In earlier versions, a copy had to be made from the default profile(s) Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
March 14, 201115 yr You have to "unlock" that capability each time. I think it's in the Options or Tools menu.Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
March 15, 201115 yr You could also try the new tool, nvidia inspector, look here. Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant
March 16, 201115 yr NVIDIA Inspector does not work with old drivers, just as nHancer doesn't work with the new.I have never had to do anything fancy with the FS9 profile (except for Allow override of predefined settings under Options, it's what Tom refers to I think, though in my experience you only need to check it once and it'll remember the setting). Install drivers, install nHancer, open nHancer and configure the FS9 profile, AA, AF, etc... then close nHancer. After that, you do not need to start nHancer again, let alone at every boot of your computer! Just once after driver changes, make your changes and that's it. It's a GUI tool to edit NVIDIA profiles, like the new Inspector, use it to edit once and hopefully that's it.:( Mike...
March 16, 201115 yr Author With the 'Allow override predefined settings' everything works like a charm now Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
