HD Environment Redux

Has anyone tried this out yet? How does it compare to REX for FS9? If anything, the price sure looks hard to beat.

Hey, Mad Dog! I decided to take a pass on this for exactly the reasons you question it: mainly because it seemed to do the same as REX, which I already own and Love, and I just couldn't imagine that it would do a better job. At that price, I'd love to find out I was wrong though.Best regards, buddy!

I bought an older version of this about a year ago and I love it.The cumulus clouds are great on max density, and I really like the water coloration and effects. The only negative for me is the concrete runways, but they're not that bad.You also get an enhanced reflections file and different trees.Compared to REX(which I have only read about), you only get one set of textures here, and no weather engine of course.

I agree with fsnl. Clouds are excellent to fly through. This was one of the few times I was flying up and the clouds made me think I was going down. Had to check the VSI. Almost vertigo. This was at dusk.JimCYWG

Thanks for the input... much appreciated. I think I'm just going to stick with REX. Too many textures, too little time :(
