No response from Main & Second buttons

Featured Replies

After a disastrous first attempt to run FS2Crew a month ago I now have it installed and apparently working correctly - the nice lady says its activated and all the clickspots are bringing up the panels.I have only just started to do the Tut and have already hit a hurdle: I dont seem to be getting any response from my Main and Second button assignments. Servisair frequency is in Comm 2 and active, Mic is on VHF and pressing my chosen key for Second Button gives me no apparent response at all. I have no conflicts with other keyboard assignments - I only have about 6 keys assigned - so I dont know what could be causing this. Another issue: I dont have FS2C on the Winglet models: why might this be? Is it something to do with the aircraft.cfg?

I get nothing happening with the Main Button either, no checklists no nothing.Correction: the Secondary button clicks the MkR on and off on the bottom left of the radon panel - but theres no radio conversation.

Try re-assinging the main button to a different key. Also confirm you've printed out the manual and followed it to the letter.A step must be being missed somewhere.Cheers,

What step could I have missed? Assigning keyboard inputs is hardly rocket science, and while I havent actually printed the manual as you suggest, I have it open on a screen in fron of me.The Tut opens in the FS2C config of Bat, APU and Position lights on, I open the Master Panel (Step 4) and the Clock is open and started (steps 5 & 6) and I have responded to the Engineer - so what else should I be doing?Lets just be clear: the "Comm Radio 2" that is referred to in the Tut is the lower of the two VHF/Comm radios on the Pedestal and the frequency is highlighted, and the Mic Selector button is the VHF (L or R) button? So unless I have got that wrong I dont know what steps you think I might have missed. When I press my assigned key for Second Button the MKR button briefly illuminates but I get no radio conversation.I have Update 1 installed (I see N-Norm on the Master Panel) and I have a clickspot on the top of the EADI but I dont get a Mode Announce panel opening.I dont have FS2C on any Winglet model.I have changed nothing on the LVLD since installing FS2C - no liveries, no aircraft.cfg changes, no panel.cfg changes: the last changes made to the LVLD were made by the installation of FS2C.

Hi,Please contact me via the Contact page on the FS2Crew website. We'll do a remote desktop if you don't mind. It's much easier that way if I can "see" what you're doing.Cheers,

You will have to excuse me if you think I am being rude, but I really dont understand why you are unable to "see what I am doing" from the explanation that I gave you. What in my reply do you not understand? What in my reply do you see that is the wrong procedure? I asked you to confirm that my interpretation of the use of the radios is correct in case I am completely wrong and you dont respond; you have twice not offered a reason as to why I dont have FS2C on winglet models; why all panels open except one, and so on. Are these errors so unique to me that you have never seen them before? Can my use of English be so poor that my explanation to you is incomprehensible? I am not saying that I am not going to allow a "remote desktop" - it just seems like such an extreme measure after I have given you the clearest explanation that my English allows - especially when you have not once said that my procedure is correct or incorrect.I am going to have to calm down before contacting you. Perhaps I should have calmed down before sending this post. Please understand that this response is based on my frustration rather than a wish to offend you or disrespect your product.

Hi,I'm afraid I don't know what's wrong based on your explanation. You said you're following the tutorial to the letter; if you're doing that, it should work.I assume you have all the FS2Crew Updates installed (from the downloads page) including the new mod for the Winglets found here:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320776-767-winglet-update/Sometime I do 'remote desktops' with users because it makes things a lot easier if I can physically "see" what's happening with my own eyes.If you still can't get it to work, contact me via the Contact Page on the FS2Crew website. We can refund your money or let you switch to a different version.Best,

Thank you for your latest response: it was considerably more encouraging than the first.I have the 1.3 update, but had assumed that the Winglets mod was included seeing as I purchased FS2C after LVLD released the Winglet version.I will get things straightened out this end, go through it all once again, and if I still cant get button response I will contact you and we will do the Remote thing.Regards.
