ADF in default Bombardier CRJ700

Featured Replies

Learning the controls and displays for this aircraft, there is not enough information in the default help. The radio frequency window includes ADF and there is a switch to hear the identifier but I have no idea how to use the instrument because the flight display is only for VOR 1 and 2. Is it possible to switch to an ADF arrow?thanksRichard

I can't answer your ADF question directly but the Avsim library has several gauge "Fix" files for the default CRJ700. You could have a look at those to see if they can help.

In the Virtual Cockpit (VC) there are two square buttons labelled "BRG" on the left hand side of the panel, below the clock. The top button toggles the flight display to show the VOR1 pointer, ADF pointer, or off.The bottom button toggles the flight display to show the VOR2 pointer, ADF pointer, or off.I don't use the 2D panel and I'm therefore not sure if these buttons are on that (and I'm also at work where I cannot check).crjadfbuttons.jpg

Freddy is right on - works the same way in 2D cockpit also.

Thanks Opa for the confirmation. I was just about to check, but noticed your post.

Thanks everyone. I downloaded the file fixes from the library so not sure if they were there before the aircraft file swap but they all work. Now all I need is my weather stations back. :( No one has replied to that post yet.
