hello Bill,Lowering the pan rate is a great idea. I did that on fs9.cfg instead of aircraft.cfg.AGP apperture to 8 makes no difference.Thank you

Seems an 'odd' one, eh? All these so called remedies not doing the job.....The textures thingie worked for me, and my system is less powerful than yours....how much AA or Aniso. filtering do you use? Have you tried disabling that water effect? (I found it unusable....frame rates plummeted) I run with 4xAA/ 4xAniso, VSynch on...all set in my video cards' control panel (Radeon 9700, Cat 3.2 drivers). Now when I switch views, having set that textures thing to 200, all scenery is there instantly, though it may take a few seconds to start to focus properly! My card is set to 128mb AGP aperture (in BIOS), fastwrites are on. I have ensured that nothing at all except for Norton Firewall is running in the background (as I'm on broadband - always 'on' - and like to use 'real weather' in the sim). Perhaps you have some other utility/ driver/ app running that could be sucking up resources - MS Office, anti-virus, printer, for instance?Do other games play OK? You're sure that your video card is providing adequate cooling, and that your case is allowing a good clean flow of air through it? -An overheating video card can start balking when put under a bit of pressure.......Sorry if some of these seem TOO obvious, and you've already eliminated them, one just never knows in these circumstances... :-)

Yarvelling,Thanks and believe me, nothing seems TOO obvious, when you are desesperately asking for help.AA and AF: no change. I also tried after running Endital: same thingI tried AGP ap. at 64, 128, 256: same thingAnd I am monitoring harware's heat.....:-hmmm

Hi David.I tke it you're in the UK, well if you are and you own that copy of FS9 then may I suggest that you do what I did when I had an issue with the display problems in FS9. I called there support team for Flight Simms on 0870-60-10-100, they will ask you for you're product code which is in the HELP (LoL) section of FS9 in the main screen,I don't mean to sound rude of offencive to all the guy's that have tried to help you out, but because all our systems are so different, what workes for one often does bugger all for another,I was at the stage of doing either 1,throwing my compie out the window, 2,going out and getting drunk cos it would all look better then(know what I mean) and 3,asking the mother in law to have a look at it for me.....LMAObut in the end I called M/Soft and,I must admit, the guy's were great and were on the phone to me for about 45mins,in the end it turned out to be a blinking G/Card issue, but hey, there you go. btw, if you're using an ATI/Hercules or someother 9800Pro makers card, may I recommend the new CAT39's from the ATI web site. and DO download and run that nifty little display driver tool for getting rid of any driver files left behind before installing the new drivers, and allso, set you're AGP size in the BIOS to 512 if you have more than 512MB of RAM, it does help trust me,good luck matey, and remember.....there are no lifeguards in the gene pool,Steve.

Hi Steve,I just answered to your email. Thanks again David
