November 23, 200322 yr i see tons of repaints but its very hard to locate the original aircraft. i have the original ffx B732 and B733 but what about the above?thanksciao!Brian S Ciao!
November 23, 200322 yr Brian,I don't believe there is one. Some people have done repaints and called them 737-700 but they were for the 737-300 model file.John
November 23, 200322 yr You can get the whole family here:http://sgair.net/erick/B737 (the link to the full downloadpage is at the buttom at the following page)Enjoy :)Incidently, if anyone in the know reading this can tell me how to get these planes not to accelerate constantly when taxi'ing (even at idle thrust) would be much appreciated ;)
November 24, 200322 yr Actually, in real life, a B737 will slowly accelerate while at idle thrust. After a while, the pilot needs to apply some brakes to slow it down when taxiing along a long and straight taxiway.Microsoft has got it all wrong in FS when it comes to simulating ground friction.Regarding the subject of this thread, I do not believe FFX ever made a 737-700 mdl, but I am not 100% certain.Stamatis
November 24, 200322 yr Author Nope, I do not think there is an FFX 737-700.Re. the performance issue: I have downloaded all the FFX/SGA Boeing 737 series and I really love these planes. Excellent model and IMHO excellent flight charcteristics in FS2002 (as far as I can tell, I'm not a real world pilot :-).But in FS2004, they are way overpowered. Not only on the ground but also in the air. With 50 % fuell and 70 % payload they take straight into the air like a rocket. I have fixed this issue by replacing the airfile with the default FS2002 (not FS2004!) B737 airfile. Now the the power issue is better but the handling itself is worse. I do hope FFX/SGA will come out with FDs for FS2004 soon. But I assume they have to wait for Microsoft's FS2004 SDK.But still, great planes!Wolfgang
