I am having tons of CTDs with FSX... It's hard to say whether a complete reinstall would work or not. Before uninstalling anything though you should simply delete the FSX.cfg (or rename it in case you want it back), restart FSX and let the config rebuild. That normally fixes a lot of problems as you may have put in too many tweaks that are now causing problems. It also brings your scenery settings to the default which makes things run much better. Sometimes we try to turn our settings up too high and put a lot of system resources on FSX. That's why you're probably getting the black screens. I heard the highmemfix=1 tweak in the config may fix that problem too (google highmemfix). Whenever you get a CTD, you should also check your system Event Viewer and look for an event that occurred at the time of the crash. It will normally tell you what caused the crash and you can use that info to further investigate your problem. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim

Hey guys just built a new rig! I installed FSX SP1 SP2 and had been running great! Doesnt matter the plane etc. I will click on a cockpit switch or a menu item in FSX and CRASH!
