April 8, 201115 yr When I fly to an airport I usually use the "VIP parking" method. If the AFCAD made from Lee's program then no problem at all, but sometimes there are ADE9x/AFX AFCAD.The problem I'm having is that everytime I install ADE9x into my computer, it mess up my Fs9. So can I use Lee Swordy's AFCAD instead of ADE9x/AFX to change the radius and the callsign for specific parking space ? Get rid of AFCAD, it is years out of date and will damage some files by saving them without certain features.ADE9 is a separate, independent piece of software just like AFX and AFCAD. There is no reason for it to "mess up FS9" when you install it. Perhaps you could explain exactly what it is doing so that somebody here can help you.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
April 8, 201115 yr Author http://forum.avsim.net/topic/328776-fs2004-navdata-or-something-else/page__view__findpost__p__1939230__fromsearch__1This is my problem after installing ADE9x. I don't know why, I don't know how and I couldn't fix it. I had to reinstall FS Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
April 8, 201115 yr Hi,It looks to me that *installing* ADE probably had nothing to do with that. Perhaps *using* ADE might have. It appears that you may have wiped out your waypoints by loading an AFCAD type file into ADE, and then using that as your replacement "AFCAD" file. You will lose all waypoints at that airport if you do that, since ADE excludes all default waypoints (that AFCAD is relying on). The way to get them back is to use the ADE menu item Tools/Load Stock Data, and check the Waypoints and Approaches boxes (at least). If you are wanting other things (like Taxi Signs) check those too. Then compile the ADE file (replacing the old AFCAD file).Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

If I have this problem again (which I did but I managed to restore my computer) I will try your method. I think I can install ADE now Hoang Le i7 13700k - Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 7900 XT - Asus TUF Z790 PLUS D4 - Gskill Trident 32GB DDR4-3600 LG 34GP63A-B Ultrawide - ASUS VG259QM MSFS2020
April 11, 201115 yr Author By the way, how can I know which program the AFCAD was created from? Some add-on airports default AFCAD only have "AF2_XXXX" so I'm confused if they were created from AFX or AFCAD. The key reason to not use AFCAD2 but one of the other programmes is that the others will warn you if they are unable to save all of the data in the original file. Unfortunately AFCAD is very old and could not anticipate all the features of the later software, and therefore just saves the files without any data it cannot understand without even telling you.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
