What to do with FS2004 water?

Featured Replies

I always liked the look of the water in FS2002 -- of course, there are all kinds of water - lakes , rivers, oceans. But I was happy with all of them. But FS2004 just looks wrong. I see small rivers which a bright aqua colour like the Carribean, I see other colours that are just plain wrong!!I know that there are addons for FS2004 that deal with water reflections and wave heights, etc -- but what about the basic colours of water all over the world. What water settings are people using?Barry

Hi, Water default from fs2002 or Ocean FX (oceansfx.zip, oceanstx.zip) 3rd party works already in fs2004 and the utility is already created for fs2004.Default fs2002 water is included in the oceanstx.zip also.Oceanstx.zip= ocean water colorOceansfx.zip= animationYou have to use prefered water reflection from fs2004 files, they are not included.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

I agree with you about the FS2004 default water settings. Fortunately, all you have to do is turn the FS9 Water Effects slider control all the way left to the "NONE" setting; this forces FS9 to revert to the old FS2002 water. I also set the Terrain Detail slider to the right for "Land and Water".Best Wishes,
