April 11, 201115 yr Hello allJust in case that on the off-chance there are any Carenado aircraft repainters looking for any projects, then there are a few repains that I would dearly love to have in the hangar. Specifically, I have requests for the PA-28 Archer (G-OWAR), the C172 (G-BOJS), and the C182 (G-BMMK).A gentleman by the name of John Glanville has repainted the C152 (G-BNHJ) for FSX in a colour scheme for a particular flying school, and its the rest of their fleet that I would love to have painted up too! Appreciate anyones thoughts...CheersRob Rob BatesSimming since the age of 10 with MSFS 5.0 P3D v5.0 | 10700K (@stock) | EVGA GTX1080Ti SC2 | Z490-E ROG STRIX | 32GB 3600MHz | 970 EVO Plus M.2 & EVO 850 SSDs | H115i cooling | NZXT H440 Case | Samsung 32" CJG 1440p Curved Monitor | Virtual-Fly Ruddo & TQ3+ | Thrustmaster FCS Sidestick | Skalarki MCDU Ask me about (my most flown): FSLabs A320-X series | MaddogXIn the hangar: Majestic Q400 Pro | PMDG 747 | A2A C182, Cherokee, Comanche & Spitfire
April 11, 201115 yr Hi Rob ,Had to react to your post . I am a bit busy at the moment but the G-OWAR paint is a good possibility . I had looked at this before but because it is actually a Piper Warrior I didn't bother with it , also the Carenado Warrior was an FS 2004 model and is inferior to their ( later ) Archer II . Previously made a paint for thr Flight 1 C172R of G-BOJS and two of their C152's - also the Flight 1 model . I assume that we are talking about The Pilot Centre based at Denham . These paints are available here on AVSIM .The Carenado C172 N is a disaster to paint , the tail logo would be mirrored and the actual area where the registration can be placed is much smaller than the real G-BOJS . Even with the C152 I had to make changes to the paint and is not an accurate rendition of the real aircraft .John
April 12, 201115 yr Author John - nice to hear from you!Just had a proper browse through the file library. You have some real good paints there.I take your point re. Carenado's C172 repaint troubles. If you were ever to decide to paint G-BMMK or G-OWAR (but fictitiously on the Archer II), then I would be very pleased to add them to my hangar. But no bother if not. Thanks again for G-BNHJ. Top job!CheersRob Rob BatesSimming since the age of 10 with MSFS 5.0 P3D v5.0 | 10700K (@stock) | EVGA GTX1080Ti SC2 | Z490-E ROG STRIX | 32GB 3600MHz | 970 EVO Plus M.2 & EVO 850 SSDs | H115i cooling | NZXT H440 Case | Samsung 32" CJG 1440p Curved Monitor | Virtual-Fly Ruddo & TQ3+ | Thrustmaster FCS Sidestick | Skalarki MCDU Ask me about (my most flown): FSLabs A320-X series | MaddogXIn the hangar: Majestic Q400 Pro | PMDG 747 | A2A C182, Cherokee, Comanche & Spitfire
May 7, 201115 yr Was busy doing the G-OWAR and was going to make some screenshots at Denham but realised that after a ( harddisk ) crash that I hadn't re-installed any scenery for the UK . Was halfway through installing volume 2 of the VFR scenery when the CD flew into a couple of hundred pieces .So if anyone has a few hours to spare and is good at jigsaws send me a PM with your address and I can send it to you !Also including some screens of the G-OWAR in FS 9 ( still a couple of things to sort out for the FS X version ) . One odd thing , the underwing reg shows up in FS 9 but not FS X . I don't know what font they use at The Pilot Centre , couldn't find it so had to hand draw it .John
June 3, 201115 yr Sorry Spartan , I don't have either craft ( yet ) , who knows ?I was however expecting some feedback from the original poster regarding G-OWAR before releasing , but it seems this paint is no longer required ..John
