Transition Level Bug

Featured Replies

Hello, after doing some flights in countries where Transition Level (TL) was FL150, I've noticed that during descent, one sentence is missing. Here is the situation.the MD11 is in descent. Passing the Transition Level (FL150), we should hear something like :Transition Level, Altimeter One Zero One Five, crosschecked at Thirteen thousand feet" and when I pass thru 13000ft I should press the secondary button to say "TOP".BUT the only thing I hear is : "Transition Level, Altimeter". And nothing else.I noticed that the problem does not appear if the TL is lower like FL060 or FL080.And it also OKAY during climb when the Transition Altitude is 13000ft for example.

I'll see if I can reproduce it.Cheers,

Hi Bryan, just to be more accurate (as I wrote too quickly yesterday night) for your test (addition in bold) :the MD11 is in descent. Passing the Transition Level (FL150), after pressing the secondary button, we should hear something like :Transition Level, Altimeter One Zero One Five, crosschecked at Thirteen thousand feet" and when I pass thru 13000ft I should press the secondary button again to say "TOP".BUT the only thing I hear, after the first press on the secondary button, is : "Transition Level, Altimeter". And nothing else.I noticed that the problem does not appear if the TL is lower like FL060 or FL080.And it also OKAY during climb when the Transition Altitude is 13000ft for example.

Hello Bryan,I have found two new issues with the TA/TL in FS2Crew with the MD11.My flight was : MMTJ to MROC.Transition Altitude is 18500 ft in Mexico. It is set in FS2Crew window. When climbing thru the TA, the FO says "Transition Altitude". I pull the knob on the glareshield panel for standard 1013 (29,92). Then I click on the secondary button, BUT nothing happens. I don't have the dialogue "altimeter 1013, crosschecked at FLxxx".For MROC, Transition Level is FL200. BUT in the config window of FS2Crew, I cannot go beyond FL180 for the transition level at destination.Stéphane

In Mexico, TA = 18500FT, TL = FL195I just took off from MMCS and the "After Take Off Check List" voice is not performing and TA is displayed on the secondary button. A click on the secondary button does nothing. When I click on the primary button to play the "After Take Off Check List", I have no voice but FS2Crew goes to the next part and displays "Descent" for the next mode to be activated.
