Frame slowdown arounf New York and Phili

Recommended Posts

I know these areas can be hard on a computer but I have a dual core 2.6 if I recall and a raptor Hardrive along with an Nvidia 1G 9800GT video card.I can be anyplace else with everything maxed and get 30 plus frames with 100% AI traffic at Atlanta or LAX and no problems. I noticed this happening a few weeks ago but I have not flown much on the East Coast so I was wonderig if a scenery I may have added could cause this???Any thougths would be appreciated as I have not addd anything in a while so its very strange. Thanks Shayne

What scenery are you using for those areas??Try disabling them, then seeing how many frames you get when they are disabled then you will know for sure if it is add-on scenery.

No prob, thats really the best way IMHO to know for sure if it is the scenery. If it doesnt change anything in your frames then you can start investigating further.

Slow down in the New York area is normal for FS9, it's related to the amount of AI in the area. Try reducing your AI percentage while in the area and see if that helps.

I tried that first and no change so its got to be a scenery or something.

The New York area in FS9 is a pure mess plain and simple. I can hardly fly there with complex aircraft. Now I do have Lago's Manhatten, Imaginesim's KLGA/KEWR, and FSDreamteams KJFK. I stick to 'lite' aircraft when flying to this area. Leaving out is fine. An add-on like Leonardo's MD80 crashes my session of FS9 everytime when flying to NYC... I refuse to disable the nice airports I have for the area so I've learned to live with it.
