April 20, 201115 yr The Phenom II x4 965 was my first CPU for FSX. Phenom II x4 965 vs I5 2500K or I7 2600K, both on stock clocks, in FSX, the performance leap will be about a 40 - 50%. Both overclocked, something like a 70% maybe.

Also note that the hierarchy chart doesn't account for overclocked chips. This chart was made at stock speeds. Clock for clock all of the i7s are much, much more efficient. So with a healthy overclock, you're getting much better performance "per MHz".
