April 23, 201115 yr I am getting old and forgetful and I can't find a flight planning website that would compute the Airport codes, names and distance from a given location. This is handy to get familiar with a new area - such as the leeward Islands. I clipped and printed this out in April of 2010 but have since got a new PC and didn't bring over all my favorites.Maybe someone will recognize the backgroud or text color. Looks like a cousin to AirNav.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

This program is designed to make it easy for you to find suitable airports to start and end your flight. In the program, you enter the ICAO code of the airport at which you want to start (or end) your journey. Then (optionally) you enter the distance you wish to fly, and (optionally) the heading on which you wish to fly. The program will search through a database of all the airports in FS, and will compile a list of the airports nearest to your desired destination

April 23, 201115 yr Author Hello RayI do not recognise that website, however I use a really nice bit of freeware from Martin Gleeson. Thanks Mad Dog, this looks like a real useful add-on. I have downloaded it and will play around with it. Thanks for taking the time for this post.Ray EDITI loaded it up and played around with it. This a is real neat package.I just added the Series 20 Learjets to my stable last week and the Flight Planning Tutorial has a 950 nm flight for calculating the weights, speeds, performance, etc. So I thought, that is a good test of the destination finder. I set the criteria as 930 - 970 nm, hard surface, 5,000 ft min, ILS from my hometown airport and it came up with a selection that ranges from Denver, Montego Bay, Teterboro, Albuqerque, Toronto and Marquette, MI with another 20 or so in between. I picked Binghamton, NY - KBGM because it is within two miles of the 950 used in Chuck's example. I'm off the see how close the specs are on the Model 28.Thanks again.Ray When Pigs Fly .
