April 30, 201115 yr Whenever I go into Options-->.Settings-->Sound and uncheck the ATC box and click OK, I go back to make sure it was unchecked and it is still enabled. Anyone else ever have this issue?
April 30, 201115 yr What is your version of Win? If VISTA or Win 7 you should start FS9 or FSX with a shortcut to run as admin in case it has problems accessing your FSX or FS9 .cfg file. You can also elect to open your FS sound mixer and turn the ATC slider down to 0.

I wasn't able to disable ATC sound in FS9, but I figured out that I was still getting ATC chatter because it was enabled in AI Smooth. That fixed it.
