Can't disable ATC sound in FS9

Featured Replies

Whenever I go into Options-->.Settings-->Sound and uncheck the ATC box and click OK, I go back to make sure it was unchecked and it is still enabled. Anyone else ever have this issue?

What is your version of Win? If VISTA or Win 7 you should start FS9 or FSX with a shortcut to run as admin in case it has problems accessing your FSX or FS9 .cfg file. You can also elect to open your FS sound mixer and turn the ATC slider down to 0.

I'm running XP. I wasn't able to disable ATC sound in FS9, but I figured out that I was still getting ATC chatter because it was enabled in AI Smooth. That fixed it.

doesn't matter, xp, vista, windows 7, fs9 or fsx. options, sounds, move the volume slider for atc all the way to the left. you can still leave the checkbox checked. just no volume.jd
