May 12, 201115 yr Hey,This is my first time build, i have installed my i7 2600K CPU into my Gigabyte Z68 UD7 motherboard along with the corsair HX850W PSU, i have read that you can power up the machine with just this to test it, however it starts up then 5 or so seconds later it just shuts down and restarts again. When power button is pressed i can see all LED's light up, fans spin and H70 can hear running. The first power on i did not hear the H70 start up.Is this normal or is something wrong?Any help is greatly appreciated. May 12, 201115 yr I'm not really sure what you are testing for nor was I aware you could do that. I wouldn't really worry about it. Just get everything installed and then boot it up. May 12, 201115 yr Make sure your ram is fully seated. I had a similar issue when first powering up my Asus P8P67-B3 Deluxe and on this board there is only 1 retainer clip for the ram. -.- . ...- .. -. May 12, 201115 yr Make sure your ram is fully seated. I had a similar issue when first powering up my Asus P8P67-B3 Deluxe and on this board there is only 1 retainer clip for the ram.I have the same board Kevin and I have 2 retainer clips, one on each side, for each simm module. Best regards,Jim
May 13, 201115 yr If you don't hear the H70 running your system is shutting down because of this. The pump is not functional, likely not plugged in or not plugged in properly. Check this first.
