EZDOK Problem

Featured Replies

I recently purchased and installed EZDOK but wasn't satisfied with it and returned it for a refund. I deleted every reference to EZDOK on my system as required. The problem I have is that I am trying to assign a button (F8) for the top down view but when I select the button, the view is of various parts of the airplane (in pieces) and not the top down view. Under Views, at the bottom, EZDOK Universal Camera is checked which tells me that EZDOK is still in play somehow. Also in the upper right corner in red, Aircraft View: EZDOK Universal Camera is displayed. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Don't understand how EZDOK is still affecting my view when I have completely removed all traces of it.Thanks for any insight on this.Jim

Jim,Did you run the "Restore" feature of the EZCA config tool before uninstalling? You may still have references to the EZdok cameras in your aircraft.cfg files and the Restore function would remove all of those references. If you didn't, you may have to go into all of your aircraft.cfg files and remove the EZdok camera definition manually.

Hi Jim, I'm sorry to hear you didn't like EZCA because IMO it's a very smart piece of software.Probably the best tool for FSX so far.Did you check the file CAMERA.cfg which is in the same folder as FSX.cfg?1) Delete any "Title=EZdok universal world camera" entry (generally the last one). 2) In this file, look at the [cameradefinition.6] and search for the HotKeySelect entry. Change its value to =8 3) Launch FSX, go to SETTINGS-CONTROL in FSX and find "View camera 8 (select)" string and assign the F12 key.I think this will solve your problem.

Finally got it. Had to go into each plane's cfg and delete the EZCA reference. Missed it before. Thanks for your help and suggestions.Jim
