Hi all, does anyone know if there are any MD-80 frieghters in the world. There are some 9s out there but to my knowledge have never seen a streched 9 freighter. Thanks,Bill

I'm no expert, but I don't think so. Maybe one of those DC-9/80 series could count as a MD-80 Freighter, but there are none on the A.net website. Watch me be wrong though.

Only DC-9-10s and DC-9-30s were factory built with main deck cargo doors. Other than some DC-9-40s converted for Airborne Express which lack the large cargo door, there have been no post-production conversions of any other DC-9srs plane into a freighter, in part because the fuselage is narrower than other narrowbody aircraft.
