  1. I've got several repaints , 9 in fact, of Delta 757s without winglets in the current color scheme for the QualityWings model available at my website: http://www.nbflightsim.com/index.html
  2. The drives should only be disconnected in case of generator failure. In other words, unless they aren't working right the red guard switches should never be lifted. The IDG Reconnect will only work when on the ground.
  3. I tried to replicate your panel state and the only way I was able to do so was by hitting the IDG disconnect switches (under the red guards above the BUS switches. Once those are disconnected you need to go to the iFly >> iFlyJets: The 737NG >> Ground Support... menu and click on the Reconnect ENG 1 and ENG 2 IDG buttons.
  4. I made some alterations and minor changes; rebuilt wing surfaces, a few odd parts here and there reshaped, some gaps filled and polygons cleaned up, but it is based upon the old JCA model. Then again, that model was based on an old FS98 rebuild of an old FS5 AFX file. I'll be darned but did I just state that I have been working on DC-9 models of some form or another for FS for almost 15 years? And to think I'm not even that old yet!
  5. >No mention on any of those site of Kenmore Air Express,>maybe they don't use kbfi anymore, anyone know?Kenmore Air parks at the passenger terminal on the east side of the airport, just to the south of Galvin Flying.
  6. Is this the one you are talking about?http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...=root&Go=SearchIf so, shoot me an email ( thatweirdguy at hotmail dot com ) and I will get it to you.Nick
  7. I painted this quite some time ago but just uploaded it.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...crp&DLID=112460Enjoy!
  8. >Any plans for the Planet livery. At present no, as I don't have enough reference material for the tail, and I don't have the time to create the logo by hand.>I am looking for a UPS new livery if anyone knows where to find one. There's one that comes as default with the DF 727, at least for a -100. There are no -200s in that livery in the real world, so it would be outside of my realm for repaints.
  9. I have a few touch ups to do, but they should be in the avsim library in the next day or two. Now go get yourself the Dreamfleet 727, you won't be disapointed! All Canada Express 727-200http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177918.jpgFirst Air 727-100http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177919.jpgFirst Air 727-200http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/177920.jpg
  10. >The express Jet livery is also confusing. Are they going to go with that wild paint scheme on all the ERJ's?Nothing wild or confusing about the paint job the ExpressJet ERJ-145XRs flying for Delta Connection will be wearing.Taken by an ExpressJet pilot at the paint shop in Saltillo.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171656.jpg
  11. >I hope this does not come off as a stupid question, but, just>how many planes have Delta painted in the new livery.? According to photos uploaded to the major aviation photo sites, one. B757-232 N638DL. Also, Freedom Airlines has ERJ-145 N856MJ and ExpressJet Airlines has ERJ-145XR N14179 painted in the newest Delta colors.>Does Delta plan to paint most of their fleet in these>colors.?Presumably all of their planes, but I think that was also the attempt with the last two "new" colors.
  12. One tank in each wing, if memory serves from my days as a fueler. IIRC, they could either filled either using gravity or single point methods.
  13. Left one Avgas (100LL), right one JetA (says so on the top of the tank).
  14. >Now, if I could just find a repaint of the PMDG B1900D in Big>Sky colors I'd be set...You mean like [a href=http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=147&topic_id=253843&mesg_id=253843&page=]this one...[/a]-Nick
  15. Aircraft in Flight Sim, by default, cannot be setup with more than one engine configuration. In this case, it means that all engines can have reverse thrust or none at all.The way to get around this for the A380 which only has it on the inner engines, would be set all four engines to idle upon landing, select only engines 2 and 3, and then engage the reverse. That way, engines 1 and 4 remain at idle and only engines 2 and 3 engage thrust reversers.
  16. >I was hoping a Kelowna repaint would be on that beautiful>727F with winglets. If you mean the Purolator colors, it's coming, I just haven't got the font just right yet.
  17. >Smooth as glass virtual cockpits would be very nice. As would a seperate "panel.mdl" so that I could delete VCs from models without having to beg the creators to make two versions of the plane.
  18. >I tried the reduced setting of -0.25 instead of -0.48 and it>hardly moves the aircraft backwards..That will teach me to keep 10 copies of modified files around without properly labeling them. :) Looks like that value came from on of my early attempts at getting the -200s to come closer to the full 727-200Adv max takeoff weight of 209,000lb. I think that was the one I had to overpower in order to get off the ground in less that 16,000ft of runway, hence needing less reverse power.
  19. >Am I reading the stats correctly? They seem to indicate that>36,000+ Avsim readers live in the US..............so why on>earth do so few bother to go the Avsim annual conferences?Because I spent all my vacation money this year on a week spent roaming around Kauai. ;)And, for the heck of it, for me, paid flights to Denver and San Diego bottom out around $200 r/t. Granted I can get there for a lot less, ie free, but then, I'm not guarenteed a seat!
  20. By default, the Dreamfleet 727s have nearly 50% power in the reversers. To reduce this, all you need to do is edit the following line in the aircraft.cfg in the "GeneralEngineData" secion:min_throttle_limit=-0.48All you need to do is change the value to something less powerful, I use a value of -0.25 as it still allows for powerbacks but does a decent job of extending my landing rollout giving me something more than 3000ft landings without using the brakes.Of course, in addition to changing all four of the aircraft.cfg files, you also need to change the four aircraft.cfg files in the Flight One Software/Text-O-Matic/data.727100CARGO, /data.727100PAX, /data.727200CARGO and /data.727200PAX folders.
  21. Does this help? It is mostly the base arial font, but I traced over a photo to get the letter shapes more closly matched.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/135313.gif
  22. Well, the obvious is that some planes only have one animated door. Also, some designers will use different commands, such as tailhook or wingfold for the second doors, as "Shift+E+2" is not always reliable. Some gauges can cause problems if you try and open a different door (or try and select one engine on a multi-engine plane) and will actually prevent you from selecting anything other than door one (or any engine other than engine one for that matter). It often happens to me if I use certain panels.
  23. >>Sorry to hear about is shutting down :-(>Who's shutting down? I don't think Jet City is, considering that they are working with MDMax on a merge for their panel and the JCA plane. There's even possibility of an updated DC-9.
  24. I think this is what you are looking for... http://www.jetcityaircraft.com/home/index.htmlNick
  25. Delta flys quite a few 767s on domestic US routes, including shorter segments from ATL to places such as MCO, MIA, and even LGA.You would have to do some looking, but it wouldn't be that hard to find real 767 flights between 1 and 2 hours long.
