December 30, 200520 yr Go to the Flight1 products page. Yahoo! I'm at work so I can't get it yet. But this is going to be goooood! Go get it and report how good it is. Thanks! December 30, 200520 yr I looked at Dreamfleet's site--version 2 is mentioned there. Too much cockpit work for me. I prefer to keep things simple. If it doesn't fly by these simple steps, I don't fly it:~If you push forward, the ground gets closer~If you pull back, the ground gets further away~If you pull too far back, the ground gets closer again-just kidding, but I am enjoying GA more as of late.-John
December 30, 200520 yr Yes. It is a new version of the product, release 2. Look at the bottom of the 727 page and you should see today's date with the version number 2. December 30, 200520 yr I am really considering getting this plane, my biggest issue at this point is the frame rate hit. How is it? Comprable to that of LDS? PMDG? ESDG?Thanks!!
December 30, 200520 yr WOOHOO!!!*falls down and worships in Paul Golding's general direction*Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
December 30, 200520 yr HelloI get good frame rates here with an AMD64 3000 and a ATI 9800 XTBetter than i get with the PMDG 737 it flies very smoothly and was pretty much bug free at release.Recommended
December 30, 200520 yr Frame rate is bang on the money it take up a lot of memery like most good planes but it is very fluid no jumping frame rate like some add ons i could mension somewere in the middle of PMDG 737 LDS 767 on my kit
December 30, 200520 yr This airplane is a lot different then the LDS or the PMDG. You get to do more of the actual flying. I find the flight model very rewarding in that regard. It handles a lot like I remember the real thing handling. You will love this airplane if you love to fly!As far a frame rates are concerned, it seems to be a smaller hit on my system then the LDS or the PMDG birds (both great products also). If you can fly the LDS or the PMDG products on your computer, you should be fine with this one. December 30, 200520 yr I've been waiting for this update for a long time. The new aircraft models and liveries are fantastic. The 727-200 with winglets in Pan American colors is one of the most striking aircraft I've seen in FS9.The new 727(s) (727-100 super 27, 727-200 super 27, and 727-200 winglets) in both passenger and freighter versions are still the great hand-flyers that the DF 727-100(s) and 200(s) were. IMO the DF 727 was always the most satisfying airliner fly by hand in FS9, especially between the time the wheels leave the ground and the transition into a cruise climb. It hard to put into words, but after careful pre-flight planning, the moment where this aircraft first leaves earth is an excellent experience. The included liveries are many and varied. I especially liked the new Amerijet freighter liveries for the Super 27 and 727-200 winglet.Five different 727 models in both passenger and freighter models with lots of included liveries. Excellent 2D and VC panels with smooth frame rates and extensive system modeling. A free radar that does NOT cut frame rates in half, even when you dare engage tilt mode. An extensive user's manual instead of a thinly disguised solicitation to buy a proper manual for $40 extra bucks. In other words, a well-rounded, professional effort offering good value. Great job and thanks for the free upgrade.
December 30, 200520 yr >I am really considering getting this plane, my biggest issue>at this point is the frame rate hit. How is it? Comprable to>that of LDS? PMDG? ESDG?>>Thanks!!It's comparable to the other high-end payware I've got, the PMDG 737 and the LDS 767, in the 2D cockpit. The VC is considerably better on frames than the PMDG 737 and about the same as the LDS; I have a pretty anemic system though (Athlon XP 2500, 1 GB RAM, GF 6600GT 128MB 8x AGP) so I don't use the VC in IFR conditions a whole lot.If your system can run any of the planes you mentioned, you shouldn't have a bit of trouble with the 727.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
December 30, 200520 yr Thanks for the report Mr. Ocean Spray. I am stuck at work so I can't feast my eyes on it yet. A good comprehensive report like your's helps fill the gap until I can get home.;-) "A good landing is one you can walk away from. An excellent landing is one you can taxi away from." December 31, 200520 yr Hello All, Well, for those who are fans of the Super27 with winglets, it finally has arrived . . . most of the beta team beat on Paul G. on a daily basis to include the Supers. Myself I'm a freak for the Supers, and I can tell you, this now makes what I consider the absolute best in payware for an airliner, which is a 'hand flier', and works just about perfectly like the real thing.I know Paul is 'sick' of this project (its' been a long time comming to the final stage), but believe me, his efforts have really raised the bar on what a great offering of payware should be.I am grateful and also proud to have been just a small part of this team!Best,Clay http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T.
