Help! sim is crashing and I don't know why

Featured Replies

Yesterday I installed new Sirius Aero Tu-134 textures (on the new SBAI payware model). I went to Moscow (UUDD) to see the newly installed textures and the sim crashed so I thought it was the textures the caused the crash. Now today I started the sim at UUEE and went to UUDD at the same time of the crash yesterday and the sim did not crash this time. The sim does crash if I start at UUDD (on a Thursday afternoon) so I do not know why it is crashing. I am using the old payware scenery for UUDD (I forgot who made it) could the scenery be causing the crash? Can it be a bad texture? How can I pin point what is causing the crash? (I don't know if the sim crashes at any other airports)

Joseph,Recommend following your lead and see if the sim crashes at other airports. If it doesn't, then it's likely the problem is localized to something at UUDD, i.e., scenery, AFCAD, etc. Deactivate the scenery first, and see if it crashes with the default scenery. I'm sure others more knowledgeable folks will also help with suggestions.Regards,

I found what was causing my sim to crash. In my (AI plane) IL-76 cfg file I had atc_parking_types=IL76 and atc_parking_codes=MIL_CARGO instead of atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO and atc_parking_codes=IL76.

I didn't realise that something like would cause a computer crash. Glad you got it sorted.
