Autopilot panel and gauge

Featured Replies

How do I get an autopilot from another aircraft to replace the one in the other aircraft? I know it can be done. I've edited the panels, I can get the autopilot up, but I can't get it to engage. I've looked for the obvious things, but can't work it out.Any suggestions? Thanks.

Did you add the needed entries to the aircraft.cfg file?

Well if you mean the autopilot entries such as autopilot_available=1 etc, then yes that's already there from the original autopilot. What I'm basically looking to do, is replace one autopilot with another. The autopilot panel comes up, but it disengages right away when I try to switch it on.

Just to add, the reason for wanting to swapping over the autopilots is regarding alitidude. The current AP only holds the altitude, any climb or descent must be made manually, not a massive problem, but I'm trying to change it to an AP where I can select the vertical speeds for a nice smooth climb or descent.

Ant, sometimes another AP is lurking out of sight. I.E., V/C. Look in your aircraft panel.cfg [Virtual Cockpit] and comment out any instances of A/P.Might work!!!! Might not!!!!John

if you cant get it fixed. Send me an email with your adjusted aircraft.cfg file and Panel.cfg so that I can take a closer look for you.bliksimpie at gmail dot com
