Hello!I am a PMDG guy, and I am sure that I will be one for a long while. Now that there is a new NGX model coming out, which of course is upgraded from the very popular NG model, how closely similar is it to the also popular iFly 737NG model?The PMDG 737NG model provides the user with a hands on experience with almost all systems inside the cockpit. The iFly 737NG does the same, however, it brings a different panel layout, and introduces the IRS, as well as more things to view from the flight displays in the 2D panel and virtual cockpit.So, I am curious.....How similar and how different will the new NGX model made by PMDG compare to the now very popular 737NG made by iFly Simulations?Give me your imput,- Ryan Ficklin/\ SWAPilot785

I think you missed a lot of post regarding PMDG NGX.And also the PMDG NGX it's not and upgrade of anything, it was builded from 0

I understand,I mean the in depth comparison of the two aircraft though...When I said upgraded, I mean PMDG's new aircraft that was built from point 0 but could be compared to the NG model.

What do you expect?I guess it is not PMDGs style to do a comparison between their NGX and iFly's.And as the NGX is not released so far, nobody had the chance to fly it and therefore nobody else will tell you anything about the differences.So your post is quite useless! Wait for comparisons made by all the wellknown reviewers. :(

Gents-I am going to put a stop to this line of discussion, and ask that you all re-engage this topic AFTER we release the NGX.There is a *massive* qualitative difference between these two products, but in order for me to explain precisely "how" I will have to get into vivid detail on the shortcomings of a competing product- and that will wind up creating the kind of manufactured drama that bores us all to death...There has long been a a really excited user contingent running around the flight simulator community who seem to think that if you like one product/developer you have to hate another- (Anyone remember the manufactured PMDG/Level D drama? I never understood that idiocy either...) and this level of immaturity has unfortunately had an impact on the way products get marketed and what developers can/cannot say without seeing groups of folks get their knickers in a twist of things that are really unimportant to the discussion.As always at PMDG we prefer to let our products speak for themselves- and this one speaks quite clearly.
