June 7, 201114 yr Thanks George, glad of that information. I've posted on Massimo's SPAD forum too and I'll give it a try with SPAD on the client, and report back. Many thanks.

Many thanks.Looking forward to hearing how you make out. I know the SPAD drivers are supposed to be much better than the Saitek ones, so if those can be run over the network, then I'll be looking to finally making the switch over to the SPAD drivers. Especially now that I've got the radio panel, I would really like to adjust the sensitivity of the tuning knobs, which I'm under the impression, is possible with the SPAD drivers.Good luck, and hope you get it working! Can't wait to hear the results. :)-George Happy Flying! -George
June 7, 201114 yr Author I want to publicly thank George T for giving up over 2 hours of his time today to help a struggling old man out.He gave me back about 10FPS by moving the Saitek panels to a client machine and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again GeorgeRick S.

Very happy to help, and glad we got it all up and running for you. :)-George Happy Flying! -George
June 9, 201114 yr Over on the SPAD forum, Massimmo confirms that SPAD drivers run on FSUIPC/WideFS and we can therefore connect our Saitek panels to a networked computer:http://fstools.weebly.com/forum.htmlPost is titled 'Networked via Simconnect' which was my mistake, SPAD uses WideFS not Simconnect.
June 9, 201114 yr ...Post is titled 'Networked via Simconnect' which was my mistake, SPAD uses WideFS not Simconnect.SPAD uses WideFS which uses FSUIPC4 which uses SimConnect :-)As I said before, if you're a serious simmer with complex hardware requirements, one way or another you end-up in FSUIPC's lap.Cheers,- jahman.
June 9, 201114 yr Thank you jahman, I didn't know that FSUIPC connects to FSX via Simconnect, but I suppose I should have surmised that. However, I have now loaded SPAD onto my dual core Celeron laptop and connected my thrtee saitek panels to it via a powered USB hub, and do indeed find that it all works very well. I think it might just be a few micro-seconds slower but not enough to make an iota of difference. Bearing in mind the benefits of SPAD over standard saitek software, but the very high cpu usage associated with SPAD, it seems better placed on a networked machine rather than the FSX number cruncher. If you are able to set up a simple home network, or prepared to learn, I think there is benefit in it especially if you don't have a quad core fsx machine to work with.
