June 3, 201115 yr Some time ago AOA told us that - For the first time, Angle of Attack will offer training for a product on DAY ONE. That product is PMDG's 737NG. Here is the link to those comments - http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/pmdg-737-ngx-training/Now for the latest news which I recieved by email yesterday saying the following: After speaking with PMDG today, they are going to allow us to get our hands on the PMDG 737 NG coming for FSX. We are REALLY excited about this news, and can't wait to get started with this bird.alsoWe'll give you our thoughts over the coming days and weeks on how the aircraft handles and what our impressions are so far.So it seems that things are coming along nicely but its still a fair wait.Just some food for thought and something to talk about.regardsRichard Richard Binns MSFS 2020 & 2024- Asus ROG Strix Z390-E - Skylake i7 9700k - Asus Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC 12gb, 64gig G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 - Thermaltake Thor 850w Platinum PSU - Corsair H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V71 Case - Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB - 2 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus V-Nand 1TB
June 3, 201115 yr Its still a few months away IMO, since buying the ifly I have really had no time to worry about it, getting some rock solid training on it, so pmdg can take their time.

June 4, 201115 yr Its still a few months away IMO, since buying the ifly I have really had no time to worry about it, getting some rock solid training on it, so pmdg can take their time.I also bought the ifly and FS2crew, and as a result I'm not as anxious for the PMDG NGX anymore. As much as I'm enjoying the iFLY, I can see the faults and missing details in visuals/systems that I know PMDG will exceed relative to iFLY, and I'm actually hoping they take the necessary time and care to make sure they do it right the first time. That being said, it doesn't mean the ifly is inferior, it offers just the right amount of eye candy and systems depth, as well as models including the BBJ, at the right price. There is no way they can compete with PMDG's track record and access to official Boeing documentation, and PMDG will be priced accordingly for that added quality. So I also believe PMDG should not rush things, and I can use that time to gather plenty of experience in iFLY's NGs, which for the most part should behave similar to the PMDG NGX. Once the NGX goes on sale, I'm sure my iFLY NG will be put out to pasture, but I will have no regrets because I find I have gotten my money's worth. I just hope iFLY releases a service pack before the NGX debuts, to address some of the major bugs, like the frame rate intensive VC and mouse lag, as well as further improving it's behavior with LNAV/VNAV.Regarding the point of the OP, my read on the fact that AOA is going to have their training available at the time of the NGX debut surely means we may have a few months left to go. Their training for the 767/747/MD-11 happened months, if not years, after those addons were first released. It's such a time intensive project, I could not believe what Chris said when he said his training will be available on the first day of sale, but perhaps the reason for this is it will be done piecemeal and streamed on the internet (like the MD-11 training), as opposed to a complete product which is burned to DVD and shipped hard copy. We shall see! A.J. Domingo
June 4, 201115 yr AOA already stated that their training for the 737 NGX will not delay the release, and likely they will have only a portion of the training program complete upon release of the NGX. The complete training program will likely be released sometime after the initial release of the NGX. Shane Gavin
