Phenom X6 1090T FSX performance

Exactly. This thread was started as a performance review of an AMD processor. We all know how the sandybridge runs, but can we let the AMD guys have their own thread for once for those that are doing some homework and might be considering buying the chip.
+1000i started this thread because I know there's got to be some people out there that might be interested in finding out what kind of performance they would get out of a phenom chip. It was never intended to become an Amd vs Intel topic.I got tired of people thinking that they MUST have the latest and greatest to enjoy a smooth experience in FSX, when it is certainly not the case. All I want is to help those people make an informed decision, whatever the route they might take in the end. I was expexting people to ask stuff like "how does the PMDG JS41 performs in KSEA with 100% traffic" or "can you fly ORBX scenery smoothly with the slider at 7cm" etc. Sadly, hijackers turned this into a CPU war.Mods, you might as well lock this topic, since it never really served its purpose.Have a nice day, and happy flying!

We never turned this into a AMD vs Intel war. YOU turned it into that by claiming that the 1090T performs on par with the sandy bridges which is false.

Ok, enough of the Intel is light years ahead blah blah......Bottom line..how well does AMD run FSX with Addons such as NGX, REX 2.0 etc? I don't care if AMD gives you 30fps and Intel gives you 40 or 50...I would hardly think that you can tell the difference between 30 and 40fps ( Could be wrong ) but I simply wanna know how the AMD performs...no more intel talk we already know what the i5 and i7 can do...but there is hardly any information here on Phenoms and lets face it, if the majority here promotes i5 and i7s then most will go in that direction without even properly testing out Phenoms. Everyones PC is different and there are many factors that contribute to overall PC performance. What someone should do is to create a video that shows the performance of the Phenoms X4 Black and X6 with FSX and the NGX or other high-end addons

+1, I don't know if it will be as good but lets face it, is their any PC that runs FSX fully maxed out with every addon known, no.

It all comes down to flying style really. If you fly 2D pannels, and/or away from big airports, don't have much scenery..., then a Phenom can do 30FPS locked I'm not saying you NEED a Sandy Bridge to run FSX ok, All I'm saying is that it MUCH faster than Phenoms, better bang for the buck? maybe not since Phenom II are now dirt cheap, but you can have a SB system for 100 - 200$ more (CPU & motherboard) that will perform a 70 - 80% faster. So you can pick an AMD system for maybe $850 that will do 15FPS in EGLL + JS41 or an Intel one with a 2500K for $1000 that will do 25FPSWhat would you do?

I can't do that, well it depends on the traffic and if I am using Aerosoft Heathrow.

I get 32FPS lined up 27L (UK2000 EGLL) 75% MyTraffic, Extremely Dense scenery, Very Dense AG, 30% road vehicles... but no light bloom, airport vehicles and water at Low 2.xHave you tried UsePools=0?

I have tried it but it causes stutters, pretty bad stutters form me. Its only when I look around the cockpit for the first time then it loads it all and i can freely look around but when I start flying, i gets bad again.

Are you using Bojote's tweaks ?If you are and have the Userpools - try 0 or 1.use highmemfix On my system I get 12 fps (Manhattan X) with the carenado 58 and that's when I am above manhattan but on the airstrip it is 20's , My autogen is on dense , lod 50% , traffic (vehicles less than 5%) , air traffic is above 50%, water is Mid 1.x , animation is 0 , terrain res is 100% , pit tool tip is enabled, aircraft shadows the middle on is on.My fsx res is 1440x1050 and if I put it to 1024x768 I would probably get 5-6 fps more. I am still trying all settings before finalizing on one. My GFX card is a bottle neck here. I use Bojote's tweaks from auto tweaking site.

Yeah I have used the tweak but I thought changing it to 1 just defeated the purpose of having the tweak there.
