Weird AI behaviour.

Featured Replies

Hi,It's the first time in my 10-year simming "career" to face something like that. I am an AI fan in FS9 and use both UT and other single traffic.bgl files. The weird event happens at LGAV airport with three US airlines, namely US Airways, Delta and Continental. So, around midnight or later (more or less the time of departure from N. America) the flights coming to LGAV from KPHL, KJFK and KEWR are spotted taking off around LGAV(!)(seen also through FSAI separation program) and about 5-10 min later landing at LGAV at a time that they are supposed to be flying over N. American East coast before (some 8 hours later) they land at LGAV next morning. I checked for duplicate FPs or for errors within UT or within the single traffic files and all seem to be OK. Any ... ideas ?Thanks for your time,Sotiris.

I occasionally see things like this (I've seen planes flying from New York to Florida in California!).I think it is an error in the sector programming of the FP programs like TTools. You might try recompiling the file and see if it helps any, but in my experience it usually doesn't.Hope this helps,

Thanks for your reply.I just sorted it out by remaking and recompiling those FPs using WEEK instead of 24HR. As simple as that. Thanks again,Cheers

Yes! I remember seeing this phenomenon for the first time.It was late night at the Frankfurt Main airport. I suddenly saw tens of illuminated aircraft flying low over the airport in some kind of madness. Looked like an alien invasion to me. LOL.gifOne of the surprises our beloved sim offers from time to time.

But the greatest joke, regarding the issue I faced, is that was sorted for the six days of the week only.It still happens on Sundays around 02:00 LT.... :biggrin:Vive le FS9 !
