Benefits of upgrade?

Hi!I recently changed from a C2D 6750 to an i5-2500k OCed to 4,5 GHz. This gave me an enormous performance-boost. Now it is known that FSX is mostly CPU dependent and therefore my question is: will I see further improvements when changing the video card from my 640MB 8800GTS to a 1GB 560ti? (of courcse for other games the 8800 is a limiting factor but for now I'm only interested in the FSX performance)Thanks!

Yes, you´ll definitely see an improovement. You can use higher AA levels and therefore a better image quality.

You should see a big improvement, especially with a 4.5 GHz CPU.

Thanks!I should add that I'm playing at 1920x1200 but rarely used AA until now for performance reasons.Is it possible to quantify the prformance increase? Is it like + 20% frames or what can I expect?

At 4.5 GHz the increase of the card won´t be that much in frames cause the CPU allready makes much FPS. But instead it´ll be an increase of AA at the same FPS. So you´ll have better image quality at the same speed.

I'm looking to buy a new system, after maybe 15 years with my old P4.For FS9, what is the least expensive graphics card in the GeForce and Radeon lines which will do the job well? At some point, you end up spending a lot more for those last few tenths of a percent, and I want to avoid that.Thanks.

In the current nvidia lineup: GTX460.
