June 30, 201114 yr Commercial Member Keep getting this error "Run-time error '6': RadarContact.rcv4module.get_departure_information"any help would be much appreciated.the only way i can figure it out, is to make a log. instructions pinned to the top of the foruma 6 is an overflow, which usually is a division by zerohave you done any editing of any files in the \data directory of rc?can you send me the .pln you are loading?jd JD Read my blog
July 1, 201114 yr Author I haven't changed anything it does it with any flight plan i try to load, even the tutorials.
July 1, 201114 yr If this is a new installation be sure to upgrade FSUIPC and makerwys (pinned topic) and then rebuild the scenery db from within RC insuring. you supplied the correct path to FS. For example my path for the scenery rebuild is:h:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9for a non-networked installation. If you are on a VISTA or Win 7 32/64 be sure you create a shortcut to RC and then set the shortcut properties to run as admin (different from you logging in as an admin)The current version of RC is 4.3.0.3845 or 4.3 build 4385 as shown on the splash screen when you load RC.In your RC\data folder make sure the properties for r4.csv and a4.csv show the date and time of this last rebuild.Open your .pln file in Wordpad and copy/paste into a reply here. For the airports used in your flight plan open in Wordpad the a4.csv file, search for the ICAO codes and paste those lines in your reply as well. Do the same for the runway lines in r4.csv. Under no circumstances save those files and do not open them with Excel or other spreadsheet program. Consider making back-ups first. I assume the rest of the .csv files are in their original state as installed. Some users have tried to load proprietary formatted plan files such as used by FMCs. The plan file must be in FS9 or FSX format.A log (see pinned topic) will show the point of failure to jd.
